Annnnd, I think I’m finally caught up with all the Happy Bunny comix we’ve drawn in the last year (and I’ll start trying to catch up with all the other mini-comics we’ve drawn in the meantime next). For some reason, this turned into a double size comic (this usually happens when we’re fucking off a little too much, doodling shit, and then we get to the last panel and we’re like… fuck. there’s no way to end this damn comic in one panel… better plaster some more shit onto it and hope it resolves itself eventually). Just kidding, we actually really wanted to give this comic a little more room to breathe and experiment with a longer narrative structure… really get into the meat of the characters and create a fuller, more meaningful story arc.

Actually, this comic did manage to introduce a lot of new characters into the Shady Brook “bunniverse”. Tweaky the Racoon, of course, makes his triumphant debut, but we also managed to introduce Stinky the Skunk, a dog… maybe call him Homie the Dog… and that bitchy looking Chicken lady… In addition, the Rationalizer (from another comic, the Lighter Side of Self Destruction, which I realize I haven’t put online yet) makes another appearance in this comic… even though he isn’t technically a forest critter.

The Bro Bunnies are actually absent for this comic… whether they will tangle with Happy again in the future is yet to be seen.

Oh yeah, and the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, 12th and 16th panels were drawn by Audrey; the 3rd, 7th, 11th and 15th panels were drawn by Mikey, the 4th panel was drawn by Corinna, the 5th and 14th panels were drawn by Rio, the 9th and 13th panels were drawn by Paul Sand, and the 10th panel was drawn by Cameron Forsley (phew).
